Statesville CountsRESPOND TODAY TO THE 2020 CENSUS

There's been plenty of discussion over the 2020 Census deadline. Here's the situation.

The US Census Bureau extended the 2020 Census response deadline to October 31 at the onset of the COVID 19 Pandemic and requested Congress to relax the 2020 Census reporting deadlines. The US Senate failed to act on this request, and the Census Bureau shorted the response deadline to September 30 to meet the pre-COVID reporting schedule.

The US District Court of Northern California ruled on a case last week and extended the 2020 Census deadline to October 31. The Administration has appealed that decision.
