City of Statesville Moves Back to D0 Drought Status

Last Updated 3/4/2025Posted in Public Utilities, Latest City News, Homepage

Statesville, NC – February 28, 2025 – The City of Statesville has officially moved back to a D0 Drought Status, as declared by the North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council (NCDMAC). D0 status means the area is considered abnormally dry. This improvement follows the recent update to the North Carolina Drought Advisory, based on data from the U.S. Drought Monitor of North Carolina.

With this change in status, all water use restrictions, both voluntary and mandatory, have been lifted. Residents and businesses can resume their normal water usage without any imposed limitations.

We appreciate the community’s cooperation and efforts in conserving water during the recent drought period.
