Sentencing – Keith Eugene Lackey, Jr.



On Monday, June 12, 2023, Keith Eugene Lackey, Jr. appeared in Iredell County Superior Court with Judge Joseph Crosswhite presiding. 

Lackey entered an Alford plea on the following charges:

  1. Possession of Cocaine (17CRS 52552)
  2. Possession of Cocaine (20CRS 55615)
  3. Possession of Cocaine (21CRS 53326)
  4. Attempted Trafficking in MDMA (22CRS 51507)
  5. Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (22CRS 52095)
  6. Flee/Elude (23CRS 303936)
  7. Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (23CRS 303963)
  8. Misdemeanor Carrying a Concealed Gun (17CRS 55070)

All charges were consolidated into three aggravated and consecutive active sentences:

  • 19-32 months (Attempted Trafficking)
  • 14-26 months (Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon)
  • 14-26 months (Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon)

Lackey also violated his probation, and his probation sentence will run concurrently with the above plea.
